2012-13 La Liga standings: Barcelona crowned champions
The Catalan giants wrapped up their 22nd La Liga title with four games to spare after a 1-0 win at home to Athletic Bilbao.
Lionel Messi scored the only goal of the game in the 75th minute, taking his tally for the season to 46 in all competitions and extending his lead at the top of the goalscoring charts.
Barcelona finished the season with 100 points, 15 ahead of second-placed Real Madrid. Atletico Madrid finished third with 76 points, while Malaga finished fourth with 72 points.
At the other end of the table, Deportivo La Coruna, Real Zaragoza and Mallorca were relegated to the Segunda Division.
