Rhaenyra Targaryen, Princess of Dragonstone
Birth and Early Life
Rhaenyra Targaryen was born in 97 AC as the firstborn child of King Viserys I Targaryen and his first wife, Queen Aemma Arryn. Known as the "Realm's Delight" in her youth, she was named heir to the Iron Throne, becoming the first female heir in Westerosi history.
Children with Laenor Velaryon
Rhaenyra was married to Laenor Velaryon, a fellow member of House Targaryen. Together, they had three sons: Jacaerys "Jace" Velaryon, Lucerys "Luke" Velaryon, and Joffrey Velaryon. However, rumors persisted that their true father was Harwin Strong, a knight of the Kingsguard.
Later Children
After Laenor's death, Rhaenyra married Daemon Targaryen, her uncle. They had three more sons: Aegon "Egg" Targaryen, Viserys Targaryen, and Daeron Targaryen.
Total Number of Children
In total, Rhaenyra Targaryen had six children. All were boys, and each played a significant role in the Targaryen dynasty and the events of the Dance of the Dragons.
