Kareem Jackson Signs One-Year Deal with Texans
Veteran Cornerback Returns for 15th Season

The Houston Texans have signed veteran cornerback Kareem Jackson to a one-year contract, the team announced Wednesday.
Jackson, 35, is entering his 15th NFL season. He has spent the past six seasons with the Texans, starting 89 games and recording 11 interceptions.
Jackson had a tumultuous 2023 season that included two suspensions totaling six games. He was suspended for the first two games of the season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He was then suspended for four games in November for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
Despite his off-field issues, Jackson remains a valuable player on the field. He is a physical cornerback who is good in coverage and against the run. He is also a good tackler.
The Texans are hoping that Jackson can bounce back from his off-field issues and have a productive season in 2024. He will be counted on to be a leader in the Texans' secondary.
